One thing that I often do when I am going through hard times is to place myself in the future. I imagine myself in the future looking back at my present and ask myself if I will be proud of how I handled the present hardship or ashamed of how I handled it. This method allows me to take the higher road more often than not. Adversity and suffering are parts of existing in this world. There are many things that we do not have control over. However, we all have control over the thoughts and self-talk in our minds. We can always choose dignity over shame. Next time you face adversity, face it head on with your head held high. Shout out to the universe that you are worthy of your sufferings and take the higher road.

2. AGGRESSIVE STRENGTH TRAINING ARTICLE
Improve Training And Reduce Recovery Time With Active Recovery Workouts
Many strength coaches recommend that trainees workout infrequently and take several days to rest and relax during the week. While I do feel that rest is important, doing a light workout on some off your off days is much better than doing nothing at all. These workouts are known as "Active Recovery" workouts and I recommend that you take advantage of "Active Recovery" immediately. Here is an "Active Recovery" workout that you can do 2-3 times a week:
- 25 Hindu Pushups
- 25 Hindu Squats
- 15 Lower back extensions
- 10 Wall Walks
- 10 Neck Rolls
Go from one exercise to the next with minimal breaks. The key here is to get the blood moving and get it into the muscles that have been worked heavily the day before. This will allow your muscles to heal faster and reduce soreness as well. This "Active Recovery" workout only takes a few minutes, so no excuses! Incorporate it into your routine now.
