1. AGGRESSIVE STRENGTH QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"We do jobs we hate to buy things that we do not need. The things we own, own us."
- From the movie and book, Fight Club
Isn't funny how many of us will do jobs that we hate and then spend the money that we make on products and services to make us feel better about the emptiness that we feel. Over the past few years, I have been through times in which I was making a lot of money and other times in which I was not making too much. During the periods in which I was not making too much money, I realized that I was not missing too much. Sure, I enjoyed the security that came with a big paycheck every two weeks. However, I found that I was making excuses to buy things that I really did not need when I had more money. I was doing this to justify the life that I lost doing a job that I did not like.
For many us, the majority of our lives will be spent on our careers. I could not imagine doing a job that I did not like for forty years and attempting to justify it with a nice paycheck. I knew that I had to get out. Now, I am not saying that money is bad and that all of us should just live with less. What I am saying is that you should not be afraid to live with less in order to take the path that you want to do in life. I sacrificed a nice salary to start my strength training business and I have never had any regrets. Sure, my income is lower right now, but my lifestyle is two million times better. I am excited everyday and get up ready to go. I never felt that way when I was working for other people. Happiness is priceless and it does not come from the products that we buy, but by expressing our unique gifts and by taking control of our lives. Ask yourself, if you are happy with your current job. If not, take some time to think about what you would want to do. Then ask yourself why aren't you doing it? If it is important enough, you will find a way to execute your dreams.

Increase Strength And Save Time By Working Muscles Antagonistically
One of the most efficient ways to organize your workouts is to group antagonistic exercises together. For example, the Military Press and the Chin-up work antagonistic muscles. Instead of doing both exercises on different days or doing one exercise after the other, try mixing the antagonistic exercises up. Do one set of chin-ups, wait a minute, then do a set of Military Presses, wait a minute, and so forth. You will get the blood moving back and forth in the working areas and this will lead to balanced development, faster recovery, and increased strength. Check out my article in this week's issue of Power Athlete's magazine for more info.
