My friend and newsletter reader Robert Tappan recommend that I check out "Warfighting" which is the US Marine Corps book of strategy. I am glad that I did, as it is full of great information that can be transferred to many areas in life.
Many people often decide to wait until things are perfect before taking action. For example, waiting for the economy to improve before starting a business. Or waiting for work to slow down before starting an exercise regimen. Or and this is the funniest one, waiting for someone to motivate you before taking action. The bottom line is that things are never going to be perfect and if you wait for them to be perfect before taking action, your entire life will pass you by. Once one excuse passes another excuse will always be there to take its place like magic. I call these excuses "delaying tactics" in which the individual passes on responsibility to some force outside of him or herself to avoid taking action now. If you want to achieve anything in life you have to get over this childish nonsense and take control of your life now. Do not wait for things to be perfect, they never will be. A good tip that works for me is to tell myself that I have to do something whenever I do not feel like doing it. For example, lets say that I do not want to do a lecture at Crenshaw high school this week, well now I have to do it. Otherwise I will feel like a spineless, chump and I do not like that feeling. Reward yourself when you follow through and do not worry about punishing yourself. Your punishment will be a boring passionless life from failing to take action. What could be worse that that?

2. AGGRESSIVE STRENGTH TRAINING ARTICLE
Increase Strength By Increasing Difficulty
There is no doubt that the key to getting stronger is progressive resistance. If you lift the same weight for ten years, you cannot expect to magically get stronger. However, another way to increase strength that is often overlooked is to increase the difficulty of an exercise. Lets use the example of the standing one-arm Military Press. Lets say that you can do a One-arm Press with a 70lb dumbbell five times with each arm. Instead of attempting to lift more weight, switch to a seated one-arm press. Sit on the floor and spread your legs out in front of you. This seated press will take your chest out of the equation and force you to work harder with your shoulder. Once you can do five reps with a 70lb dumbbell on the seated press, switch to the Sots Press. The Sots Press is the ultimate overhead pressing exercise. Clean a dumbbell and go into a full squat. While staying in the full squat position, press the dumbbell overhead. Once you can do five reps with a 70lb dumbbell on the sots press, you will be amazed how much stronger you are on the standing military press.
By switching to more difficult exercises, you are addressing weak links as well as creating variety in your workouts. You are also getting stronger in several positions that will give you greater overall strength.
