I cannot stand adults that are reckless and irresponsible. You know what kind of people I am talking about. The kind of people that create problems that other people have to clean up. These reckless people go through their lives with no goals and expect handouts from everyone they meet. They are the kind of people that will borrow money and never pay you back. At best these people will inconvenience your life. At worst, they will become serious “monkey wrenches” that have the potential to destroy your life and goals completely. Do not think that spending time and money on such people is doing them or you any benefit. These are the kind of people that will never take good advice and never take responsibility for their lives no matter how many opportunities come there way. If they need you to motivate them or take care of them in the first place, then they are not serious about achieving their goals. The company that we keep keeps us. If you want to be successful in anything, avoid people that bring your down.

Workout Right For Your Body Type

These days we hear a lot about the optimal rep ranges for training. Some people swear by high reps and others swear that low reps are the ticket to training Nirvana. Just as there is no one training program that will work well for everyone, there is no ideal rep scheme that will be effective for all trainees. How do you determine the optimal rep range for you body type? Glad that you asked. In Christian Thibaudeau’s excellent book “The Black Book Of Training Secrets”, Christian goes over a test called the 80% test. Here is how it works. Take 80% off your one rep max on any given exercise and do as many reps as you can with proper form. If you only complete 1-3 reps, then you are super fast twitch dominant and will be best served with sets of low reps. If you fall into the 5-10 rep range, you are still fast twitch dominant and will work well in the 5-10 range. If you complete 14-21 reps, you are slow twitch dominant and should do higher rep sets. Forget about following cookie cutter programs that did not take your muscle fiber type into the equation. Find out what your dominant muscle fibers are and personalize your training accordingly.
