I could not agree with Anthony Hopkins more regarding political correctness. I was bombarded with the lame concept of “political correctness” during my undergrad years at the College Of Wooster. It was insulting to me then and still is to this day. All that PC is is censorship conceived. It is the first step towards full-blown censorship. First, censorship advocates start with racist and sexist language and then once they have support for that, they will start censoring anything that they see as offensive. All movies, music, books and other forms of human _expression will deteriorate into trivial garbage. While I find racist and sexist language offensive, I find censorship or other people telling me how to think and talk even more offensive. Political correctness supposedly was created to protect minorities, women, and anyone else that is oppressed. Sorry folks, it will take a lot more than changing some words around to help people. People in poor countries could care less if we say that they are from the “third world” or from the PC word “underdeveloped countries” I doubt that any minority cares whether the grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan says the “n” word or African America. Regardless of what words are used, the grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan is racist and changing language does not change the underlying bigotry. As a minority male that has visited many impoverished countries, I find political correctness both condescending and offensive. One of the many great things about the US, is the protection of free speech regardless if whether the “thought police” finds it offensive or not. Positive change occurs with meaningful action not loaded pseudo action.

2. AGGRESSIVE STRENGTH TRAINING ARTICLE

Studies how that how we internalize things affects our testosterone levels. If we feel defeated and tired, our testosterone levels will be lower than normal. If we feel ramped up and purposeful, our testosterone levels are higher and we will be more productive in our workouts and other areas of our lives. Movies are a tremendous training tool that is often overlooked. Think about how you feel after a movie such as “Braveheart” or “Gladiator.” Now imagine if you got your workout in right after watching one of those movies. Obviously it is not practical to watch a movie before every workout. However, you could take clips from your favorite movies and put them on a tape. For example, I have a compilation tape with clips from “Highlander”, “Gladiator”, “Braveheart”, Al Pacino’s great speech at the end of “Scent Of A Woman”, “Antwone Fisher”, “Star Trek II” etc. You cannot help but feel more empowered after watching a few motivational scenes. I recommend that you make your own compilation videotape or DVD to view before workouts. Spend 15-20 minutes watching the tape and then jump right into your workout. Another option is to record certain scenes on an audiotape or CD to listen to in the car on the way to the gym or even right before workouts or during workouts. Try it out for a month and let me know what happens.
