BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN TWO DAY KETTLEBELL WORKSHOP (SOLD OUT)

Unfortunately, this workshop is completely sold out. Contact Mike Mahler at mahler25@yahoo.com to get your name on the waiting list!
It is said that in life there is a place and time for everything and that timing is essential. Well, the timing couldn't be better for the "Boys are Back in Town Two-day Intensive." This is the workshop that, for years, the public has only dreamed about. It's finally here and, trust me, you don't want to miss this one. To entice you further, the seminar is in Las Vegas! Do I really need to convince you to make a trip to Vegas? I didn't think so. Flights to Vegas are cheap and so are hotels. You can have fun at our course during the day and enjoy the Vegas nightlife as well.
Forget about Vegas though! How often do you get to work with Steve Cotter, Steve Maxwell, Nate Morrison, and me, all at one workshop? Perhaps you had a chance to work with us when we were part of the Dragon Door organization. Well, unless you're an ostrich with your head in a hole, you know that we all left the DD organization and have continued our individual work with our respective businesses. Further, what we covered then is nothing compared to what we'll be covering now: This is our show and we get to do exactly what we have always wanted to and deliver it in what we know is the best manner possible!
We've remained good friends and have been talking back and forth for months about how to work together. And not only because we love working with each other and the fact that the workshop will be very profitable for all of us. No, we want to give the public what it wants--and the public wants straight-forward, high-quality information delivered in a non-PC manner. No paramilitary tactics at our workshop. No "yes, sir," crap: You're paying us good money and we will, in turn, give you the ultimate level of respect. We take your time and money seriously and all of us will be at our "A" game at this one.
There's so much new stuff we all want to teach you and we can't wait to get it all to you. There'll be no holding back. This will be an intense 2-day workshop and you'll be working hard--but have no doubt you'll have a blast and leave with a new feeling of motivation and empowerment. We'll deliver nothing less--guaranteed!
Without further ado, let's go over what each presenter will be covering...
Let's start with Steve Cotter...
Steve Cotter has become a global force in strength & conditioning and is consistently called upon to consult and provide training for organizations like the San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, U.S. Marines at Quantico and individuals UFC Champ Randy Couture. He teaches his unique blend of kettlebells and body-weight conditioning throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. Creator of the Encyclopedia of Kettlebell Lifting and Full KOntact Kettlebells DVD series, Steve is available for seminars and consultation at www.fullkontact.com
A Course in Effortless Movement
High quality performance in fitness, athletics, and daily life is not only a matter of getting stronger and faster--it involves learning to coordinate your efforts so your thoughts and action are synchronized. Yes, that's right, a coordination of the mind, body, and spirit to produce the results you want: lift heavier, move better, and feel more alive.
One of the biggest obstacles to increased performance is the resistance your body creates against itself when it doesn’t need to. In this course, you will learn to harness your energy and strength to work more intelligently and efficiently in cooperation with your body and its movements. How? By introducing a simple, yet comprehensive, program which consists of movement dynamics, breathing, and the study of timing and pacing using your own body-weight, kettlebells, and the space around you. You will participate in a complete system of training which includes dynamic agility, ground-based strength & conditioning, and the practice of balance and spatial awareness through breathing and posture.
The course in effortless movement is designed to help you tap into your ability to learn new skills in an athletic context so you can build upon your current level...whatever that may be. You will leave the course with a new appreciation of what is possible.
Steve Cotter's course curriculum:
An agility program to develop movements in all planes and directions: forward, backward, lateral, rotational, and diagonal, combined with joint mobility exercises to thoroughly prepare your body for the serious work ahead. Every joint and muscle of your body is primed and ready to go.
Kettlebell Core Lifts:
A study of the Russian style of kettlebell lifting, which mimics the best kettlebell lifters in the world. If you have an interest in work capacity--and you should if you want to be more fit--then this is for you! Learning mechanics and training methodology are the simultaneous aims of this course, so that you'll have all the tools to build upon for your own sustained progress--you CAN take it with you!
Swing, Clean, Jerk, Snatch are the first lifts that are studied and trained in this section.
There will be periodic short breaks between the different technique sections.
Supplemental KB training:
Pressing, Squatting, and some grip-centric training
Supplemental body-weight training:
Jump Squats
Whole Body mobility series:
Upper and lower body emphasis with martial art-based mobility sequences
Let's be honest, Steve's section is worth the price of admission alone! To sweeten the pot even further you'll be learning from three other experts! So next, lets go over what I'll be covering...
Aggressive Strength Training
I can't wait to present all of this new information which is sure to dramatically impact your strength, and health, in the best ways possible. In addition to taking your kettlebell training up a--tremendous--notch, I'm going to show you the absolute importance of optimizing anabolic hormones. Essentially, you are your hormones and if you don't get them in check, you can forget about achieving your best with your training and, frankly, your life. Further, I'll to cover the importance of restoration and a variety of techniques--such as hyperbaric chamber treatments--to improve recovery and well-being.
Mike Mahler's Course Curriculum
- Mastering the double-rack walk, learning the "sit-back", in order to dramatically increase overhead pressing. You'll be able to move up to the next size KB when you master this--and you won't have to add any more muscle or body-weight.
- Why too much tension is a waste, and how to apply just enough tension to get the job done--I didn't clean and press two 70lb bells 19 times by overdoing tension.
- Where to look--and what to think--when doing heavy KB military presses
- How to press more than ever before with the Windmill Military Press
- Why you must do rows, and other pulling movements, for healthy shoulders and strong pressing
- Why body positioning and leverage is more important than maximum tension for strength and efficiency
- How to use the side press to take your military press through the roof
- Learn the Kickstand Lunge for the benefits of the one-legged squat without the stabilizer issues--also great for building strong, well-developed calves
- Tons of tips for going from Renegade Row failure to Renegade Row success--and variations of the Renegade Row for accelerating strength and progress
- The ten best kettlebell exercises for fat loss--and how and when to do them
- Which equipment you need to complement your KB home gym--and why kettlebells are not the best option for a ripped, tapered mid-section
- How to avoid over-training the shoulders with kettlebells: every KB exercise is a shoulder exercise, so learn which ones to focus on--and which to cut out. Otherwise, expect to have (expensive) shoulder injuries; you can't have it all all of the time.
- Why the Double KB Swing is the best ballistic KB exercise for strength and power--and how to handle more weight than you ever imagined was possible in the safest manner possible
- Why Double Swings carry over well to double-pressing
- The best KB exercises for speed and explosive strength--and why you should never do more than three reps when speed and explosive power are your goals
- Develop incredible explosive power with the Jump Shrug and Full Body Attack
- How to use kettlebells for strength and size
- How to get ripped with your KB program--and why high rep KB programs are not the answer. Not by a long shot!
- Why exercise form changes with each kettlebell and why light KB work does not transfer well to the heavy work--and how to get the best of both worlds.
- The biggest mistakes that kettlebell trainees make with program design--and why many KB trainees are over-trained stimulus addicts
- The critical role of nutrition and supplements to get the most out of your training
- Why you need to get detailed blood work and which tests to get
- Why you'll never be strong, powerful, and successful with low T, IGF-1, DHEA, and high estrogen levels. What you can do about it--and why it's critical to your health and well-being
Here are the exercises I'll cover in detail at the workshop:
- One-arm Clean and Leverage Military Press
- Double-Clean and Leverage Military Press
- The Side Military Press
- The Windmill Military Press
- Alternating Hang Clean and Military Press
- Outside Double Clean and Military Press
- The Outside Double Bent-over Row
- Alternating Renegade Row
- One-arm Double-Kettlebell Bent-over Row (two bells in one hand)
- Suitcase Kickstand Lunge
- Double Front Kickstand Lunge
- Double Rack Walks
- Double Overhead Position Walks
- Double Clean-and-Squat Press
- Hang Clean
- Hang Snatch
- Leverage Double-Swing
- Full Body Attack
- Jump Shrug
I'll also be talking in detail about program design for various goals, the importance of nutrition, and optimizing anabolic hormones naturally.
By the way, if you care at all about aging without anybody realizing it, and learning from one of the best anti-aging strength coaches in the world, you're going to love Steve Maxwell's section...

At this point I could spend the next ten pages blasting you with testimonials from all of us; however, I'm tired of ad copy that goes on forever--and I'm sure you are as well. All of us are well-established experts in the field and we needn't prove to you our great reputations and integrity--we all have well-established track records for both--thus, I'm going to save you some time and go right into the FAQ so you can get registered right away...
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I just started training with kettlebells a month ago--can I come?
A: Advanced training is often a refinement of the basics. While we'll be going over some advanced stuff, I do think beginners will do fine at the course. That said, we prefer to have people who are past the beginner level. We only have space for 30 people and we do not want anyone holding the group back. This is a 2-day intensive and the people who will get the most out of it are trainees who have the kettlebell basics down. Of course, the course is not until October so you have every opportunity to get to a beginner kettlebell workshop in before then. In fact, I have several coming up as do Steve Cotter and Steve Maxwell. Check out our individual schedules at:
Mike Mahler: http://www.mikemahler.com/workshops.html
Steve Cotter: www.fullkontact.com
Steve Maxwell: http://www.maxwellsc.com/Home.html
Q: Do I need to bring kettlebells?
A: No, we'll take care of the kettlebells and there'll be plenty on site.
Q: I'm a certified kettlebell instructor--will I pick up anything new at your course?
A: Congrats on the RKC and you bet your ass you'll learn a lot in our class. You'll have a whole new tool set to teach your students and increase your value in the marketplace.
Q: I have some shoulder injuries and have trouble with some of the basics--can I attend?
A: No, you need healthy shoulders and rotator cuffs to take this course.
Q: Is this going to be a boot camp-style course or will it be instruction-focused?
A: Both, which is why you need to be prepared for the course. Get ready to work your ass off.
Q: I have high blood-pressure--will I be okay?
A: Maybe, but I'm not going to take any chances. You're not ready so please don't register--go to my beginner course instead.
Q: I'm not sure if I should sign up--can you convince me?
A: No, if you're not sure, don't bother signing up--since you're not ready mentally nor probably ready physically. We want serious students only.
Q: I want to get stronger, faster, leaner, and take charge of my health--should I attend?
A: Yes, and we can't wait to work with you!
Q: Will you guys be taking this course on the road?
A: No, this seminar may never happen again. I know you hear that all the time in the training world, but I actually mean it. All of us are super busy and it wasn't easy to get this seminar nailed down; don't count on it happening again. Sign up now as this seminar will sell out fast.
Q: Will you be providing a discounted hotel for us?
A: Yes, and we'll have that information sent to you after you register. Give us a month or so to get that nailed down, but yes, we'll have a nice hotel set up so you can hang out with the other trainees and relax.
Q: Is this a certification course?
A: No it is not. Lets be honest, certifications are for the most part a joke. The idea that you are an expert in something after taking a weekend course is ludicrous to say the least. Sure we could easily give you a certification certificate for attending the course. However, we do not see the point. Want to be a great instructor? Attend the course, learn what we teach and pass it on to your clients. Your clients are your validation not a weekend certification. The more useful info you know the more useful you are to the marketplace and your clients. Case closed.
Q: Why is the course so expensive?
A: If you think the price is too high then don't sign up--you're not a fit for the workshop. We're not the Walmart of the strength-training world and besides, you get what you pay for. If you're serious, then hurry up and register now as we're only taking 30 students in this seminar.
Q: What's your cancellation policy?
A: Cancellation Policy: If you provide at least 30-days advance notice that you won't be able to attend the workshop, you'll have the option of a full refund or a transfer to a same-value workshop of your choice. If notice is given in less than 30 days, the refund option will be void.
